My Story
I love doing what I do because I love helping my clients to feel good about themselves. I believe that self care and wellbeing is so important these days. Life is incredibly busy at times, sometimes we need to have a moment to ourselves to recharge the batteries before we can carry on again, that shouldn't be seen as a luxury but a necessity.
I trained in beauty therapy in 2012 at Burton college. Growing up, I loved painting and caring for my nails but during my college years I discovered I enjoyed all things beauty. After college I joined a fantastic salon in Swadlincote, where I spent the next 12 years gaining invaluable experience, skills, and friendships.
While working there, I started my own business part-time from my parents’ home. When my partner and I bought our own house, we transformed our garage into the beautiful space I now call Lavender Beauty Studio. I wanted to create a professional yet relaxed environment where clients can unwind, feel pampered, and leave feeling confident about themselves.
Recently, I’ve come to understand how powerful human touch can be. Through personal experiences, I was drawn to train in oncology facials. I saw how challenging cancer treatments can be, and how even an hour of gentle touch can bring comfort, both physically and emotionally. It reminded me that treatments are not just about appearance, but also kindness, support and wellbeing.
Lavender Beauty Studio is more than just a place for treatments. It is a space designed for you to relax, restore, and feel your very best when you walk back out of the door.
